Collection: Expo 2020

The title of this exclusive pendant is Expo 2020. The design was manufactured using eighteen-carat gold, shaped circularly with prong setting that holds the VVS diamond. The diamond holds two different cuts; a round cut and a pear cut. A mother of pearl is placed in the middle at the centre to hold the design together and complete it.

The concept aligned to this pendant is to reflect emotions and the process of healing. In addition, it is in honour of H.H Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid’s message regarding the logo of Expo 2020. He stated, “The logo is a message to our people that we are the people of civilization who preserve their history, and a message to the world that we have been and will remain people of communication and looking forward to meeting other civilizations, and the capital of creativity.” Moreover, the design is inspired from a gold ring found by H.H Sheikh Mohamed bin Rashid’s old gold workshop in Al Marmoom, which he refers to as the rocket metal, that dates back to more than 4000 years.

The style of the pendant can be identified as a contemporary design. It can be worn as a long pendant or as a short necklace by adjusting the chain that is designed to accommodate the preference. It can also be worn as a brooch, and this aspect of the design is aligned to it being conceptually made to suit either women or men.
